Provide the greatest impact possible by giving where it is most needed.

What are the needs?

Around the world, food insecurity affects nearly one-third of the global population, according to the United Nations.

In South Sudan where civil war has displaced people from their homes, 1.4 million children under 5 and women are facing acute malnutrition.

In Thailand over 13% of children are undernourished resulting in stunted growth, while in the Philippines that number doubles to 27% and in Pakistan it jumps to 44% of children.

In Kenya, over a third of the people in the country live on less than $1.90 USD a day.

One quarter of the world’s undernourished people live in India.

What can be done to help?

Food insecurity can be addressed in various ways within different countries, for example:

In Ukraine, by supporting the transport of food and hygiene articles to those in need.

In Lebanon, food and medical assistance are provided for vulnerable families and refugees, as well as women’s livelihood programs.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, vulnerable households are trained in a range of skills that include conservation agriculture, livestock breeding, farming techniques, soil fertility, and agro-forestry to reduce erosion on hillsides.

In El Salvador projects include support for vulnerable families in generating economic resources such as starting agroecological vegetable plots, artisan food initiatives, and chicken farms, as well as training in sustainable agriculture and the economic empowerment of women through poultry farms.

In Rwanda, farmers in the Ngoma District will be trained on conservation agricultural practices to mitigate the effects of climate change, drought, and soil infertility.

How will your raised funds be used?

Your support will benefit families in 11 different countries around the globe. By providing development and solutions to food insecurity, these programs build hope for a better future, giving witness to the real-life Good News of Jesus.
